In a recent interview with Η ΝΑΥΤΕΜΠΟΡΙΚΗ | NAFTEMPORIKI TV and journalist Pavlos Pantazopoulos, Prof. Phoebe Koundouri discussed the implications of potential U.S. tariffs on European goods—an aggressive trade policy that poses significant risks to global economic stability. She emphasized that the uncertainty surrounding these measures is already affecting markets, hindering investment, and contributing to rising inflationary pressures across Europe.

Reflecting on the recent United Nations Conference on Sustainable Finance (FFD4) held in Seville, Prof. Koundouri stressed the urgent need to address the global annual funding gap of $2.5 trillion required to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She highlighted that sustainable development extends beyond environmental concerns; it encompasses integrated progress in economic, social, and environmental dimensions to ensure overall human well-being.
