Dr. George E. Raptis is a User Experience Designer and Researcher at Human Opsis. He has an Integrated Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering (University of Patras, Greece), a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction (University of Bath, United Kingdom), and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering/Human-Computer Interaction (University of Patras, Greece).
 
His current research activity focuses on designing interactive systems for audiences with multidimensional and diverse characteristics; cognitive modeling, user profiling, and pattern recognition with the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques; usable security and privacy. His research work has been published in international scientific journals and proceedings of international peer-reviewed conferences.
 
George has collaborated with several institutions (e.g., University of Patras,  Industrial Systems Institute, Technical Chamber of Greece) working on EU and nationally funded projects. He has won awards in research-and-innovation contests; his scientific papers have received best paper awards and honorable mentions; he has been recognized as an outstanding reviewer in the ACM SIGCHI community.
 
George has been a member of the interdisciplinary organizing and program committees of several international conferences and workshops. He was a member of the Standing Committee of Research, New Technologies and Informatics (2014-2017) and a member of the Standing Committee of New Technologies, New Materials, and Technological Education (2017-2019) of Technical Chamber of Greece / Regional Department of Western Greece. Since 2019, George serves as the system analyst and designer for ACM SIGCHI Volunteer Development Committee.
