Ebun is a Senior Researcher at the Sustainable Development Unit of the Athena Research & Innovation Center. She is also a Senior Researcher at ReSEES Lab of the Athens University of Business and Economics and the AE4RIA research network. Ebun is a founding partner at the Nigeria-based consultancy GEN Sustainable Solutions and was an Associate Lecturer in the School of Applied Social Studies at Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen). With a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology, an MSc in Project Management, and a PhD in Urban Regeneration and Sustainable Communities, she has several years of industrial and academic experience in Europe, Asia, and Africa, working with government agencies, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, academic institutions, private sector bodies, and local communities.
Ebun serves as the Co-Chair for the United Nations Sustainable Solutions Development Network, Greece (SDSN-Greece) and is the head of the Transformative and Participatory Approaches Unit of the UN-SDSN Global Climate Hub. Her work spans a spectrum of issues related to sustainable development including urban regeneration, SDG policy and implementation, community development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, transition management, renewable energy, stakeholder participation and sustainability in developing nations. In 2023, Ebun was recognised as one of the Global 50 Women in Sustainability by SustainabilityX Magazine.
