On April 29, 2025, we were thrilled to host the 4th MAIA Workshop at the Athens University of Economics and Business, as part of the Hydrogen Conference on Shaping Europe’s Sustainable Energy Future.
This in-person event brought together over 130 participants — from policymakers and researchers to industry leaders and civil society — for an engaging exchange on hydrogen’s pivotal role in Europe’s clean energy transition.
The Hydrogen Conference featured cutting-edge insights on hydrogen technologies, opportunities for decarbonization, and the strategic role of countries like Greece in building a resilient hydrogen economy.
Building on this, the MAIA Workshop, led under the scientific guidance of Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri (Principal Investigator of the MAIA Project), and moderated by Dr. Konstantinos Dellis and Hezal Dilan Sari, MA, offered a hands-on, collaborative forum. Together, we identified barriers, mapped key stakeholders, and co-created a shared European vision for integrating hydrogen into the energy mix.

Thank you to all participants who made this workshop a success. Your ideas and commitment are helping to shape a greener, more sustainable energy future for Europe.
