Through “Archimedes” Greece is expected to be at the forefront of science, in a field of knowledge whose importance is constantly increasing and now has multifaceted applications across the spectrum of economy, society, industry, etc.
The Robot Perception and Interaction Unit of the Athena Research and Innovation Center (Athena RC) was founded in 2009. It is a research unit with horizontal and multifaceted action for information processing and modeling. Its goals are to advance and sustain basic research in both theoretical and application problems whose fundamentals lie in the intersection of various fields of applied sciences and technology such as robotics, informatics, communications, and cognitive systems.
