EVERSE

European Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence

The EU-funded EVERSE project aims to strengthen the quality, sustainability and recognition of research software as a core component of European research and innovation. The project establishes a community-driven, cross-disciplinary framework for research software excellence, for the communities and by the communities, working closely with the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and its Science Clusters. Key outputs of EVERSE include the Research Software Quality Toolkit (RSQkit), a catalogue of research software quality indicators across the accepted dimensions, technology monitoring services (TechRadar), automated quality assessment pipelines, visual analytics dashboards (Dashverse) and dedicated training and recognition frameworks. In parallel, EVERSE is building a European Network of Research Software Quality, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange and policy input at European and national levels.
