Professor Phoebe Koundouri delivered a keynote address at the event “The Clock is Ticking Green: Environment, Competitiveness, Clean and Circular Economy,” organized by the EU Youth Hub and Europe Direct ELIAMEP Attikis.
In her address, Professor Koundouri emphasized the urgency of accelerating the green transition as a key pathway toward building a more competitive, clean, and circular European economy.
Through her work at the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria (AE4RIA), she leads interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral efforts that support this transition. AE4RIA's activities span research, policy advising, and multi-stakeholder collaborations aimed at promoting clean energy, circular economy practices, and sustainable competitiveness both in Europe and globally.
Professor Koundouri expressed her appreciation to the organizers for the invitation and commended their efforts to actively involve young people in shaping the future of sustainability.
