Το Γραφείο Μεταφοράς Τεχνολογίας (ΓΜΤ) του ΕΚ "Αθηνά" διοργανώνει διαδικτυακή εκδήλωση-ενημέρωση για τα προγράμματα και τις ευκαιρίες ανάπτυξης και εφαρμογής καινοτομίας, που προσφέρονται μέσω του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου Καινοτομίας (EΣΚ). Για το σκοπό αυτό, το ΓΜΤ του ΕΚ "Αθηνά" έχει προσκαλέσει τους Διευθυντές Προγραμμάτων του ΕΣΚ οι οποίοι θα παρουσιάσουν το ΕΣΚ και τα αντίστοιχα προγράμματά του.  
 
Οι παρουσιάσεις θα καλύψουν χρηματοδοτούμενα προγράμματα και μη-χρηματοδοτούμενη υποστήριξη του ΕΣΚ όπως αυτά αναπτύχθηκαν το 2021, στους χώρους της υγείας, βιοτεχνολογίας, ενεργειακής και περιβαλλοντικής βιωσιμότητας, διαχείρισης καινοτομίας και ενεργειακά συστήματα και πράσινες τεχνολογίες, και απευθύνεται σε ερευνητές και ερευνητικές ομάδες, τεχνοβλαστούς, νεοφυείς επιχειρήσεις, μικρές και μεσαίες επιχειρήσεις. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν για το ΕΣΚ και τα προγράμματά του, πως κάποιος μπορεί να συμμετάσχει και σε ποιο πρόγραμμα και να θέσουν σχετικές ερωτήσεις στους Διευθυντές Προγραμμάτων του ΕΣΚ. 
 
Το ΕΣΚ (European Innovation Council - EIC) ιδρύθηκε στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος της ΕΕ «Ορίζων Ευρώπη». Έχει προϋπολογισμό 10,1 δισεκατομμυρίων ευρώ για την περίοδο 2021-2027, με σκοπό την ανάπτυξη και επέκταση ρηξικέλευθων καινοτομιών, από την έρευνα σε πρώιμο στάδιο, έως την απόδειξη της ιδέας, τη μεταφορά τεχνολογίας και τη χρηματοδότηση και την ανάπτυξη τεχνοβλαστών, νέων επιχειρήσεων και μικρών και μεσαίων επιχειρήσεων. 
 
Οι Διευθυντές Προγραμμάτων έχουν αποστολή να αναπτύσσουν οράματα για καινοτομίες και τεχνολογικές ανακαλύψεις και να κατευθύνουν χαρτοφυλάκια έργων για την επίτευξη των στόχων του ΕΣΚ και τη διαχείριση της αντίστοιχης χρηματοδότησης.
 
Η διαδικτυακή ενημερωτική εκδήλωση θα γίνει εξ’ ολοκλήρου στην αγγλική γλώσσα, στις 19 Ιανουαρίου 2022, μεταξύ 12:00 – 13:30. Για τη συμμετοχή απαιτείται εγγραφή εδώ.

Iordanis Arzimanoglou has a thirty-year postdoctoral international career in the crossroads of genetics and innovation, having held research and senior management positions at both operational and strategic levels. Since June 2020, he has been Programme Manager for Health and Biotechnology at the European Innovation Council (EIC), where he´s responsible for developing visions for technological and innovation breakthroughs. Dr. Arzimanoglou has previously worked as an EIC Coach & Senior advisor to genetic diagnostic, therapeutic and drug discovery startups and SMEs in 11 different European countries, and has helped the EC/REA and EIT. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the Thessaloniki Innovation Zone managing company, and prior to that, Chief Executive Officer of the Aarhus Biotech Cluster managing company, Denmark. In both his Chief Executive Officer appointments, he managed complex portfolio and shareholder interests and expectations in a cross-functional matrix setting and supervised the drafting of the strategy plans. As an academic, he was Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University. Earlier in his career, he was Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York and prior to that, he was Chief of Cancer Genetics Research Program at Lennox Hill Hospital, New York. Before joining Lenox Hill, he was a research scientist in the Division of Medical Genetics at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York. Iordanis holds a PhD from the University of Athens in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, a Boston University Graduate Certificate in international business management, and performed his postdoctoral work in the Department of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York.
 
Antonio Marco Pantaleo has 20 years of experience in multidisciplinary research projects in renewable and clean energy technologies (solar, wind, biomass, and hybrid), energy systems integration, biosystems engineering, energy use in agricultural engineering and food processing. He holds a first degree in electric engineering form Politecnico of Bari and a PhD in process systems engineering from Imperial College London, where he is affiliated as research fellow to the Clean Energy Processes Lab (CEP) and Centre for Process Systems Engineering (CPSE) of the Department of Chemical Engineering. He is associate professor of clean energy technologies at the Department of agro-environmental sciences of the University of Bari. Before joining the University, he co-founded an energy service company, joined Edison Energie Speciali as wind and biomass energy engineer and the strategic planning division of GSE. He worked as scientific expert and consultant for public and private organisations, including the Italian Ministry of Research, and was vice-Rector for energy policy of University of Bari. 
 
Francesco Matteucci is an innovation manager with 20 years of experience spent as a researcher in materials science, as a Corporate R&D Manager within the field of technologies for renewable energy production and storage, and as an intermediary of knowledge trying to exploit the research results within the field of energy and environment. As R&D Corporate manager, he also cofounded and directed several start-ups and joint-labs managing public-private partnerships.As a facilitator of knowledge exploitation (IoK), he co-managed publicly funded projects, as well as Emilia Romagna Climate-KIC Innovation Centre, Dhitech Living Lab on Nanotechnologies, Emilia-Romagna Greentech Clust-ER. Francesco acted as scientific expert within the Vanguard Initiative ADMA Pilot, reviewer of research projects, co-authored over 30 scientific papers, 5 patents, and was Visiting Professor at the University of Ferrara as well as speakers in many conferences and workshops. Since October 2020 he is an EIC Programme Manager focusing his activities on Green Technologies and in particular on materials for energy and environmental sustainability.
