Job Description:

The Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria (AE4RIA) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Proposals Coordinator to join our team. This role is based within the Sustainable Development Unit at Athena Research Center and the ReSEES Research Laboratory at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

About AE4RIA:

AE4RIA is a leading global research network focused on sustainability, dedicated to providing science-based solutions for the sustainable interaction between nature, society, and the economy. Our network encompasses Research Institutions, Innovation Acceleration Hubs, Science-Policy Networks, and Scientific Associations and Academies, engaging over 200 researchers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the coordination and development of research proposals for Horizon Europe projects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate scientific and technical content into proposals.
• Identify funding opportunities and align them with institutional priorities.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and support for proposal development.
• Manage timelines to ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Monitor and report on the progress of ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• PhD/MSc in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience in coordinating and developing successful Horizon Europe project proposals.
• Familiarity with sustainable development topics, especially Sustainable Blue Growth, the Water-Food-Energy-Biodiversity Nexus, Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation, and Sustainable Finance.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.

• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Competence in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
