New book by Panos Macheras
Advances in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics

A new joint publication by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Spinger titled "Advances in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics" and edited by Dr. Panos Macheras, Head of the Pharma Informatics Unit, “Athena” RC was released in May 2023 (doi: 10.1007/978-3-031-29541-6) as part of the series AAPS Introductions in the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
It comprises seven chapters covering Physiologically based Pharmacokinetic modeling, food effects in drug absorption, Finite Absorption Time models and their applications in pharmacokinetic data, Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling and simulations in clinical practice and studies, subject/physiology variability encountered in PK/PD studies, and, finally, the influence of clinical pharmacology in drug development and regulation.
Chapters 3 and 4 were written by members of the PharmaInformatics Unit of the Athena RC.
