We are pleased to announce the collaboration with the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) and the establishment of the GEIDCO National Committee in Greece. The Committee will be hosted by AE4RIA – the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria – together with RESEES Research Laboratory at AUEB, the Sustainable Development Unit at ATHENA RC, and the SDSN Global Climate Hub.
GEIDCO is a United Nations–accredited international non-governmental organization with more than 1,300 members worldwide. Its mission is to advance the clean energy transition, promote cross-border grid interconnection, and support sustainable development.
With the launch of the National Committee, Greece becomes part of a global network of governments, industries, and academic institutions working together to accelerate the transition to clean energy, foster international cooperation, drive innovation, and contribute to sustainable energy policy.
This important milestone reflects a shared commitment to a green, low-carbon, and interconnected future—bridging global vision with national action and opening new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and technological innovation.
