Professor Yiannis Emiris, President of the Athena Research Center, was an invited speaker at the conference organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. The event, entitled "Rule of Law – Pillar of Development and Prosperity" was held at the Hotel Grande Bretagne and had distinguished speakers from the fields of Justice, Politics, and Academia. It was organized throughout the day, divided by theme sections, and there was participation from a large public. 

 

Professor Emiris participated in the section "Justice, Artificial Intelligence and Innovation" where he presented today's dynamics, the many prospects, and the possible threats associated with using artificial intelligence, with some examples of activities currently driven by the Athena Research Center.

 

Many questions were asked; moderators and the audience were very much interactive, centering their questions on digital technologies' applications in public administration, especially applications of Artificial Intelligence in the judicial sector.
