In a highly insightful and revealing interview, the President of the Athena Research Center, Professor Ioannnis Emiris, spoke with Takis Spiliopoulos of Naftemporiki TV.
Professor Ioannis Emiris discussed in detail the technologies developed by Athena and the high-level research and scientific talent capable of contributing to the digital transformation underway in the country.
One day after the joint announcement by the Ministry of Digital Governance and the partner institutions (NCSR "Demokritos," National Technical University of Athens, Athena Research Center, Growthfund, and the Strategic Foresight Unit of the Government) regarding the construction of one of the seven Artificial Intelligence factories in Europe, "Pharos" in Greece, Professor Emiris was asked about it. As he explained, "Pharos" will create an ecosystem aimed at transferring technology and scientific results related to Artificial Intelligence to the private sector, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises.
He also mentioned "Daedalus", one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, which will operate in Greece as the foundation for the operation and development of "Pharos".
