OmniLoc, a spin-off company of the Athena Research Center, achieved a major international distinction by winning the Startup World Cup Greece 2026 competition, held as part of the international technology and innovation exhibition BEYOND 2026.

 

The founder of OmniLoc, Dr. Aris Lalos, Research Director at the Industrial Systems Institute of Athena, stated: 

“What an incredible day for OmniLoc. I am proud to share that we have won the Startup World Cup Greece 2026 and earned the opportunity to represent Greece at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco.  

This recognition is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and vision of our entire team. What started as an ambitious idea has grown into a company developing next-generation localization technologies for autonomous systems operating in GPS-denied and GPS-degraded environments.
