The Industrial Systems Institute of Athena Pioneers in 6G Technology

6G technology promises to revolutionize connectivity with applications in entertainment, education, healthcare, and commerce, positively impacting the Greek and European economies. The SUNRISE-6G project, coordinated by the SMARTECH team from the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) of Athena Research Center, aims to establish Europe’s first 6G infrastructure, bringing together 28 partners from 12 countries. Testing will focus on advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence and integration of terrestrial and satellite networks. ISI of Athena Research Center collaborates with key Greek and international organizations, positioning Greece as an important hub for 6G development.
