Call for Applications for the MSc in “Language Technology” for the Academic Year 2026 - 2027

For the 7th consecutive year, the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Institute for Language and Speech Processing of the Athena Research Center, announces the opening of applications for the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program (MSc) “Language Technology” for the academic year 2026 - 2027.
 
The aim of the MSc program is to educate and train scientists and researchers in the design and development of algorithms and language resources, contributing to the advancement of research and technology in the field of Language Technology. At the same time, the program seeks to promote knowledge and research development, while supporting the presence of the Greek language in the contemporary technological era.

  • Duration of studies: 4 academic semesters
  • Courses begin: 28 September 2026
  • Application deadline: 1 June 2026
  • Announcement of results: by 30 July 2026
  • Tuition fees: €3,000 (payable in 4 instalments)
Thirty percent (30%) of students who meet the legal requirements may be exempt from tuition fees, while merit-based scholarships are also available.
 
Eligible Applicants
 
The programme is primarily addressed to graduates of:
  • Informatics
  • Informatics and Telecommunications
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Philology and Linguistics
Applicants from other departments in the fields of Natural Sciences and Humanities may also be considered.
