Nikolaos Leventakis holds a diploma from the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens since 2012.

In 2018 graduated from the “Automatic Control Systems and Robotics” specialization of the “Automation Systems” Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

In 2020 graduated from the “Advanced Technology and Computer Science in Rehabilitation” specialization of the “Clinical Ergospirometry, Exercise and Rehabilitation” Postgraduate Program of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

From 2018 to 2023 worked as a researcher of the Control Systems Laboratory of the School of Mechanical Engineering of NTUA to the research project “EnAfSi” in the field of energy microharvesting from vibrating, self-recharging piezoelectric sensors, focusing on design, computational 0D modelling and prototyping of an alternative experimental harvesting electronic circuit and the mechanical design and prototyping of the final experimental vibration harvester, as well.

During the same period, worked as a researcher of the “Clinical Ergospirometry, Exercise and Rehabilitation” laboratory of the Medical School of National University of Athens to the research project “REACT” in the field of Virtual Reality in Rehabilitation, focusing on development of Brain Computer Interfaces and EEG signal processing.

Since 2023 is working as a researcher on the field of soft robotic exoskeletons in rehabilitation, initially in the Robotics Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of University of Thessaly and since the September of 2024 in the Robotics Institute of Athena Research Center.

He has contributed to 15 international publications (articles, conferences, posters) and to the submission of 3 patent applications.
