Konstantinos Vlachos obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, in 1993. Afterwards, he worked as an Analyst-Programmer at the INTRACOM company. In 2000, he obtained a Master's Degree in "Automation Systems", direction "Automatic Control Systems & Robotics", at NTUA. In the same educational institution he prepared his Doctoral Thesis (2000-2004) in the field of Robotics, and until 2007 he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher. He taught as a PD 407 Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Thessaly from 2007 to 2013. In 2011 he was elected, and in 2014 he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics of the University of Ioannina. He has participated in various national and European research projects in the area of Robotics and Automatic Control. Research interests: haptic robotics, robotic medical simulators, microrobotics, navigation and control of robotics.
