Athanasios (Thanasis) Rontogiannis is an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens since December 2021 and a Collaborating Faculty Member with the Robotics Institute of Athena RC. From 2003 to 2021 he was with the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of the National Observatory of Athens, where he has been a Research Director since 2017 and the Deputy Director of IAASARS from 2020 to 2021. His research interests lie in the general areas of signal processing, machine learning, computer vision, and robotics.
