Dr. Athanasios Gkesoulis is a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in automatic control and robotics. He holds an Integrated Master’s and a PhD degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, focusing on cooperative control of nonlinear multi-agent systems. He has worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Educators of the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE) and the Department of Natural Resources Development and Agricultural Engineering of the Agricultural University of Athens. Currently, he is working on projects at the “Athena" Research Center and the University of Patras, focusing on the development of path planning and control techniques for robotic systems to address environmental challenges. His research interests include nonlinear control, decentralized control of multi-agent systems, and control systems with reinforcement learning techniques, as well as their applications to unmanned robotic systems.
