Vasileios Arampatzakis is a Scientific Associate at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) of the Athena Research Center and holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. His doctoral research focused on learning depth from two-dimensional images, with emphasis on monocular depth estimation, deep learning, interpretability, and explainability.

 

He received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2017 and his MSc in Advanced Technologies of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2019 from the Democritus University of Thrace. Since 2019, he has contributed to research and applied innovation projects at Athena Research Center, working on computer vision, image processing, artificial intelligence, 3D digitization, cultural heritage technologies and natural language processing.
