Ioannis Dologlou received his M.S. degree in Electrical Eng. from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1981 and the Ph.D. degree from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble in 1984.From 1984 until 1986 he was a postdoctoral fellow at UC Santa Barbara and from 1986 until 1988 he worked as research assistant at Imperial College London. From 1989 until 1991 he was research fellow at NTUA and consultant for the European project in automatic translation EUROTRA-EL. During 1992 he was visiting professor at the University of Paris-Orsay and Paris-Nord and from 1993 until 1994 he was Research Director at the French CNRS. In 1995 and 1996 he was research scientist at the Technical University of Delft and at the Katholieke University of Leuven respectively.

From October 1996 until November 1998 he was the head of the speech group of the EE Dept. of the Katholieke University of Leuven.

Since March 1999 he is a reasecher director at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP).

His research interests are in speech and language processing and SVD based spectral estimation and he has over 100 publications in scientific journals and conferences in these fields.
