The Athena Research Center is honored to announce its participation in the 3rd Symposium on Open Science in Greece, organized by the National Initiative for Open Science. The event will take place on December 10 and 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at the National Center for Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos”.
The symposium targets the Greek research and academic community, as well as project managers and representatives from key national organizations, infrastructures, initiatives, and projects, including businesses and governmental bodies involved in research and education.
The aims of the event include:

Providing updates on the latest developments in Open Science across Europe, with a focus on the leading role of Greece in the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

Informing about the operations of the EPAE consortium and the coordinated actions contributing to the goals of Open Science in Greece.

Engaging in discussions with political leaders to establish priorities that address European challenges and commitments, particularly regarding the implementation of the New European Research Area and EOSC in the country.

Enhancing the skills of young researchers and project managers through educational activities in areas such as open access, FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data, data management plans, and research assessment.
