The OpenAIRE representatives in
Greece and
Cyprus continue their series of informational webinars and invite you to the first seminar of the year, focusing on the latest developments in Open Science. The presentation will be delivered by Natalia Manola, CEO of the pan-European infrastructure
OpenAIRE.
Open Science is rapidly advancing across Europe. As a result, many innovative outcomes are being introduced in our countries, aiming to be integrated into the research and academic ecosystem. This seminar will present the current landscape in Europe and highlight the actions of OpenAIRE as a pillar infrastructure of the
European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Specifically, it will cover European developments in policies and infrastructure services supporting the existing regulatory framework. Additionally, the results emerging from OpenAIRE’s contributions to key projects and initiatives, such as
CoARA, PathOS, and SciLake, will be shared. Finally, the recently published
OpenAIRE Action Plan for CoARA will be analyzed, emphasizing how OpenAIRE supports its members in implementing its principles.
At the end of the seminar, participants will:
● Be informed about current Open Science initiatives in Europe.
● Gain deeper insight into how these initiatives can be integrated into Greece and Cyprus.
● Understand OpenAIRE’s role in the EOSC and its active participation in related projects.
● Learn how to leverage the OpenAIRE Action Plan for CoARA.
