Last week, our team (Sustainable Development Unit – ATHENA RC – AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria) participated in the kick-off meeting of the SMARTER – Systemic Transformation Towards Local and Regional Climate Resilience project, funded under Horizon Europe – Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.
Dr. Anni Triantafyllidou represented our team and presented our work within the Climate Adaptation Lab (CAL) of Western Greece, as well as our broader contributions across the project’s Work Packages. The SMARTER project aims to design and test systemic climate adaptation solutions through 10 regional Climate Adaptation Labs across Europe. By applying participatory approaches, modelling, and social innovation, SMARTER seeks to co-create practical strategies that strengthen local and regional climate resilience.
