The first programming contest for databases, “Future of Database Programming Contest,” is here, organized by the Athena Research Center with the support of Huawei. The competition targets students (undergraduates, postgraduates, and PhD candidates), challenging them to solve a fundamental problem in database management: cardinality estimation.

Prizes:

The contest kicks off on November 25, 2024 (team registrations open) and concludes on January 10, 2025.
