Results of the Workshop "Bridging the Landscape of Digital Archaeological Data in Greece"

The workshop "Bridging the Landscape of Digital Archaeological Data in Greece", held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the Impact Hub Athens, was particularly successful not only due to the turnout of interested parties but also because of the audience's engagement during the presentations by the distinguished speakers.
During the workshop, ways to improve the management and use of digital archaeological data were discussed, the necessity of spatial dimension in archaeological data, the integration of archaeological content into the digital cultural content aggregator SearchCulture was presented, and European developments in the field of open science and the contribution of Athena in adopting these practices were also highlighted.
Finally, the research infrastructure DARIAH-ERIC was presented, which acts as a bridge for data, tools, methods, skills, and user communities in the field of archaeology.
