On Tuesday, 8 July 2025, Athena Research Center will participate in the InfoDay event “Industrial Biotechnology Accelerator: The Road to IBISBA-GR”, contributing to the national effort to establish the IBISBA-GR infrastructure. The event will take place at the NTUA campus in Zografou, from 10:00 to 16:00.

 

The Infoday marks the first step toward the creation of a new national research infrastructure for industrial biotechnology, IBISBA-GR, under the coordination of NTUA. It will bring together researchers, industry professionals, and institutional stakeholders to exchange views and align on the roadmap ahead. 

 

Highlights include presentations on the progress of IBISBA-EU, updates from participating Greek institutions, and discussions with representatives from the biotech industry. 

 

As an active member of the IBISBA community since 2022, Athena plays a strategic role in advancing digital technologies for biotechnology and the circular economy. Its contribution includes providing tailored data infrastructures and technological solutions aligned with IBISBA’s needs and vision.
