Final event of the Crescento project in Milan

The Industrial Systems Institute of Athena RC participated in the final event of the Crescento project in Milan on September 14, 2023. The event provided the opportunity to present the outcomes of the project that has designed a Joint Master’s on Circular Economy.
The event was welcomed by Dr George Kremlis, honorary director of the European Commission, and Principal Advisor to the Greek Prime Minister on energy, climate, environment and circular economy issues, and Mr Fokion Zaimis, deputy head of the Region of Western Greece for entrepreneurship, research, and innovation.
Mr Marco Blasioli of CNA Abruzzo discussed the impact of Circular Economy on SMEs, while the Industrial Systems Institute Director Chrysostomos Stylios presented synergies with the CEI Boost Interreg Europe project.
The outcomes of the project were presented by professors Luca Ferrarini of Politecnico di Milano, and Vesna Mandic of the University of Kragujevac.
Following the project summer school in the partner countries three pitching speeches were given on interesting projects elaborated.
Industrial Systems Institute of Athena RC research associate Akis Bompotas presented a good practice related on food waste.
Finally, Professors Vanja Asanovic of the University of Montenegro and Dimitris Lekkas of the University of the Aegean presented the legal framework behind the joint Master’s and its structure respectively.
IPA ADRION Project Officer Lucia Calliari provided final observations and recommendations.
The Final Event presented a fine opportunity for wrapping up the project and presenting its achievements related to its Summer School and the future development of a Joint Master’s on Circular Economy.
