Presentation at NeurIPS 2025
Dr. George Retsinas, Researcher at the Robotics Institute of Athena Research Center (ARC) and HERON Collaborator, attended the 39th Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS 2025), a top-tier international venue for machine learning research, held in San Diego, California, USA, where he presented the paper “Instance-Level Composed Image Retrieval” on Dec. 5, 2025. The work was a joint collaboration with researchers from the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague.
The paper introduces instance-level composed image retrieval and the i-CIR benchmark, together with BASIC, a strong training-free baseline method. The research also included contributions from Dr. Panagiotis Filntisis, Researcher at both the ARC Robotics Institute and HERON, and Prof. Petros Maragos, HERON Director and Acting Director of the ARC Robotics Institute.
