On Sunday, 21 December 2025, the workshop “Mothers and Daughters in the World of Robotics” was successfully held within the framework of the Code4Europe project, which aims to inspire and equip the new generation of Europeans with digital programming and technology skills.
On the occasion of EU Code Week, the team of the Athena Research Center organized this interactive workshop as part of the Athens Science Festival, placing particular emphasis on empowering girls and helping to challenge stereotypes related to technological and digital studies.
The workshop offered children and parents the opportunity to explore robotics and programming through creative and engaging activities. Using the Open Roberta simulation platform, participants learned how to program virtual robots while developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills through collaborative activities.
The event concluded in a particularly positive atmosphere, demonstrating how programming and robotics can become a creative and collaborative learning experience for the whole family.
