On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Athena Research Center welcomed representatives of the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (HCDI), as part of an initiative to explore synergies and develop joint research, technological development, and innovation activities with applications in defense and security.

 

The visit included presentations and thematic discussions on technological innovation, knowledge transfer, and opportunities for participation in joint initiatives. Particular emphasis was placed on collaboration between research institutions and the defense industry, as a catalyst for the development of domestic technological capabilities.

 

During the visit, Athena researchers gave presentations on research activities and project outcomes related to HCDI’s areas of technological interest. The exchange of views focused on prospects for collaboration within the framework of HCDI’s calls for proposals both for developing solutions and for providing information as well as on HCDI’s connecting role with industry.
