In September 2022, the
National Infrastructure of Linguistic Resources and Technologies in Greece CLARIN:EL, was successfully evaluated and officially certified as a CLARIN B-Centre of the European Infrastructure
CLARIN ERIC and as a Trustworthy Data Repository by the Standards and Certification Council of
CoreTrustSeal.
With the number of registered users exceeding 1,350 to date, the CLARIN:EL Infrastructure hosts a total of
762 resources in a systematically organized network of repositories; 14 Research Organizations and University Institutions from all over Greece participate. ATHENA RC is one of them and the
Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) is the network coordinator.
CLARIN ERIC B-Centres
The CLARIN ERIC network comprises various types of centers, including CLARIN B-Centres or Service Delivery Centers, which form the backbone of the European Infrastructure, offering the scientific community access to resources, services and expertise on a permanent basis.
Certified CoreTrustSeal Repositories
On the other hand, CoreTrustSeal is an international, non-governmental and non-profit organization that evaluates Data Repositories and services based on specific requirements
(Core Trustworthy Data Repositories Requirements) and, if they are met, certifies them as trustworthy repositories.
