The Women Innovation Unit (Winn) of the Athena Research Center participated in the Humannera conference, which took place on October 30, 2025, focusing on the convergence of human, environment, and technology in the modern era.
The Unit’s team took part in a discussion panel on the topics “How Each Generation Defines Sustainability”, “What the New Generation Expects from Companies”, and “Can Technology Understand Humans?”, where the challenges and opportunities arising from the use of technology for environmental protection and sustainable development were highlighted.
As part of the Athena Research Center’s activities, a workshop dedicated to the Code4Europe projects was also held, within the framework of EU Code Week and the Bebras initiative. The workshop provided information on how individuals can participate in Code Week activities, followed by an open discussion on ways to attract young people - especially girls - to the world of programming and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
The Women Innovation Unit of the Athena Research Center continues to support initiatives that enhance women’s participation in research, technology, and innovation, actively contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable technological future.
