"Athena" RC and, more particularly, the team of the Institute for Language and Speech Processing returned from the 2nd Puzzle Festival in Kastellorizo, with their batteries fully charged and lots of good memories since attendance exceeded all expectations this year.

Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival/Science Games, from September 22nd to 25th, intrigued the island's students, students from Rhodes, as well as teachers and visitors; the island experienced a real science festival with riddles, experiential workshops, science activities, math tricks, Stand up Science for children, tactile puzzle exhibitions, film/music workshops, puzzle competitions and educational programs that combined Art and Science.

Lower and Upper Secondary school children who visited the island had the opportunity, among other things, to solve the riddle of the mysterious connection between Science and Music through the actions of "Athena" RC and to get to know the "EpiSTEAMουσική" project as well as the iMuSciCA platform and the tools used in EpiSTEAMουσική.

They also took part in a series of musical interactive activities:
 • Playing with the frequencies using their fingers.
• Building and playing air guitar.
• Analyzing the sound of a string.
• How can the computer understand what I play on the guitar?

Within this plethora of people, ideas and objects, "Athena" RC had the opportunity to show its own pluralistic face, presenting STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics), the educational approach that it has developed through the project EpiSTEAMουσική. The experience has been inspiring for all participants and strengthened the belief that intersubjectivity makes education more enjoyable, creative and efficient.

The organization was carried out by ENIGMA (Union of Ideas, Puzzles and Mathematics), where the most important element of its action is the Megisti Puzzle Museum, in collaboration with the Region of the South Aegean and the Municipality of Megisti.
In October 21-23, the Puzzle Festival will travel to Patras and then to Athens in December 16-18.
