Athena Research Center participated in the Greek delegation attending the international biotechnology exhibition Swiss Biotech Day 2026, held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 4 - 5, 2026, contributing to the promotion of the Greek innovation and life sciences ecosystem within a leading international environment for networking and collaboration.

The Greek delegation was organized by
Hellenic Biocluster (HBio), the largest life sciences cluster in Greece, marking its fourth consecutive participation in the event. This year’s
Swiss Biotech Day attracted more than 3,000 participants and 25 international delegations.
As part of the Greek participation, Athena supported the delegation’s presence and visibility, contributing to the promotion of the capabilities of the Greek research, technology, and innovation ecosystem in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences.

Over the past thirteen years, Swiss Biotech Day has become a key meeting point connecting science, entrepreneurship, and society, accelerating knowledge transfer and helping transform cutting-edge research into applications with real-world impact. Among other topics, this year’s event highlighted international developments in Research & Development, scientific data management, artificial intelligence, and new funding instruments for the life sciences sector.
In parallel, on
May 6, 2026, Athena Research Center also participated in the
Global Innovation Summit, a specialized platform for collaboration and networking focused on cross-border investments, public-private partnerships, and international research collaborations in the biotechnology sector.
