2nd Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence

The “Archimedes” Unit of the Athena Research Center, in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Informatics and Communications Scientists and Professionals (GCS), the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN), and the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP), are organizing for the second consecutive year the Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (PDTN).
The competition is addressed to lower and upper secondary school students (Gymnasium and Lyceum) and is conducted in accordance with the standards of the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), offering participants the opportunity:
- to learn modern techniques such as machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing,
- to develop solutions to challenges inspired by innovative applications of artificial intelligence,
- to collaborate with AI experts and talented students from all over Greece.
Competition Structure & Phases
Participation is free of charge, and the competition consists of three phases:
- Preliminary Phase – “Talos”
December 1, 2025 – March 1, 2026
Online participation aimed at selecting the students who will stand out.

- Final Phase – “Pandora”
With in-person participation at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

- International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence
The top four students will represent Greece at the International AI Olympiad, which will take place from August 2 to 8, 2026, in Abu Dhabi.
Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the organizers.
