Events

We would be excited to have you back as a local organiser in 2022! This year we are back with an exciting mix of:

• In-person ideathons in cities and towns across the globe
• Young Climathons for youth networks and schoolchildren
• Digital Climathons for connecting citizens across borders

The Global Climathon Days are set for 28-30 October 2022, ahead of the UN Climate Change COP27 in Egypt, where we will host a stage to connect Climathon events happening everywhere. We encourage you to host Climathon during that weekend. However, your Climathon can happen any time of the year.

BE AN ORGANISER IN 2022
This year we are updating the toolkits and platforms.  If you want to continue empowering your local community to create ideas that solve climate change challenges, join us this year as a Local Organiser:

1. How to get started to be a Climathon maker in 2022:
Register your Climathon on the website: https://climathon.climate-kic.org/en/organiser-registration

2. Once you have confirmed your city or cities with the Climathon team, then you are ready to announce that your Climathon will be happening and we offer different options to announce your city or cities.

• A LIVE interview on LinkedIn or Instagram.
• Let’s announce it on the official Climathon channels.
• Create your event page on the official website.

3. On Slack you can connect with other Climathon makers in your country, region, and  in your language on what it's like to organise a Climathon or if you can join another Climathon to experience it. This is the link to join: https://climathoncommunity.slack.com/ssb/redirect
