"Athena" Research Center and the School of Medicine, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) co-organize the Inter-Institutional Master’s Program titled “Biomedical Informatics”. The goal of the MSc Program is the provision of a high level of postgraduate education in Health Sciences and specifically in the fields of Medical Informatics and Bioinformatics.

The teaching will include both the theoretical approach in the field of information flow/analysis in biomedical systems/data and the application of information technologies in the context of the practical laboratory approach in bioinformatics and medical informatics.
 

The duration for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma is set at three (3) semesters and lessons will take place at Dragana University Campus, Alexandroupoli, Greece.
 

The program accepts candidates that have graduated from the Departments of Medicine, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Biological Applications and Technologies, Informatics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Production and Management Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and other related Departments of universities, ATEIs of the country or corresponding recognized cognate institutions abroad, as defined by the Ministry of Education and Religions.
